I just got back from a 4-day stint in Canada to visit charming and fantabulous Nyar and It is kind of insane how going on vacation will make me come back suddenly filled with Resolve like "I AM GOING TO LEARN PIANO" and "ALSO I AM GOING TO START PAINTING WITH REAL PAINT" and also "I AM GOING TO WORK OUT AND GET FUCKIN RIIIIIIPPED" I think this is a sign that I need to go on Grand Adventures more often and not just save it all for Big Vacations because this Resolve is a good and fun thing to have in life and I would like to have more of it indeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed
My fucking calves hurt like a bitch though because I am your standard model car brained american and I don't fucking walk usually...I love and adore the public transit in Toronto but all the walking kills and murders my untrained leg muscles. I mean we also went to a rave on Friday and they played actually good music so I lost my shit harder than I have in like 8 years probably, thus murdering and killing my untrained leg muscles even harder. But I had FUN so fuck my legs 8] (this is what filled me with Resolve to get more exercise)
We also went to an art galleryy and it was very fun and cool (this is what filled me with Resolve to paint with real paint). I was particularly enamored with the use of color in the shadows (especially on the white dresses) in Picking Flowers by Helen McNicoll (pictured below)

In all styles and mediums, I am always a sucker for blue shadows... They had postcards in the gift shop of various gallery pieces so I nabbed one of this painting so I could study its colors... (The gift shop sadly did not have a postcard of another wonderful piece Nyar was especially fond of, the title of which escapes me but we have colloquially dubbed "Fat Fucking Owl".)
There is MORE exciting stuff I did in Canada that I will probably write about later but it is getting late ("late") so this will mark the conclusion of this blag post. Stay tuned for part II. Maybe.
